Seasons

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

My mind goes crazy sometimes! I start thinking of so many things I want to accomplish and they are not just little things. For instance tonight within a two hour period I was doing extensive research on international adoption, then I went to trying to find out how to get certified to do home studies, looked into a volunteer program for helping families adjust to adoption, and then onto a social work program for my Masters.  OH my seriously no wonder when I lay down at night I can't sleep. There are so many things I want to do! I do this to myself often. I start out with a bunch of ambition and then I Ker plunk down. So in my moment of discouragement after my high Saturday night I remembered the scripture above. There is so much I want to do. I have to take a step back though and KNOW the Lord will guide me to where I need to be and when I need to be there. There is a season for all things and not all the things we want to do in life are going to fall in the same season.

I know the scripture above to be true, I just tend to lose sight of it sometimes. I am trying to focus on where I am during this season but to also continue to press forward to what I inspire to do in the seasons to come. I am truly enjoying the time I have right now with just my husband and I know the this will eventually change so I'm trying to soak it up! I teach Kindergarten and I have the opportunity to help THESE children right NOW!!!! Jordan is in school... Working full time and going to school full time is hard but he does it... Another amazing opportunity right now is our experience with CASA. We are blessed... This is our season right now! I am grateful for this season.

People come into your life for a reason, a season, and a lifetime!

A good friend of mine told me this in Haiti and it has embedded in me!
